Coming from a family that strongly encouraged the children to study and play a musical instrument, Billy, at an early age, was hooked when he saw his first Beatles or Rolling Stones TV appearance. Mom got him a used Rogers drum set, and some lessons from a local teenage drummer. The seed had been planted!!!! During his formative High School and College years, Billy followed culinary pursuits, becoming an accomplished chef. Throughout that time period he continued to hone his craft of drumming, listening, practicing and playing with various Jazz, Blues, and Rock bands.
So.....If Billy Lengyel is not somewhere in a kitchen cookin' or teachin', he's behind the drum kit burnin' with his current and favorite combo------THE BLACK PETALS!!!!!
